This type of Asian melon has been grown in China and Japan for thousands of years but has only recently appeared in American markets and what a splash it made! Golden/yellow softball-sized fruits are super sweet and fun to eat. They have a very crisp and sweet flavor. For you home growers, it can be trellised which is a lot of fun.
