This is a French heirloom (a.k.a. Parisian Pickling) used in the late 1800s to manufacture gherkins (cornichons). Listed in 1892 by James J. H. Gregory of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Dark green color, firm thick flesh, inconspicuous seeds. As a bonus its a BIG producer! Can be used small for pickling (50 days) or larger for slicing 70 days from seed.
