Jubilee is one of the most popular watermelon varieties grown in the United States and was introduced in 1963 by the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station. TheJubilee Watermelon variety was originally created by crossing together the varieties Africa 8, Iowa Belle, Garrison Hawkesbury and Leesburg. Jubilee Watermelons are extremely adapatable to nearly any region and do especially well in hot and humid climates.
