This great tasting cantaloupe was developed before 1920 by R.W. Richardeson, near Hickville Ohio. Honey Rock was an "All American Selection" in 1933. The fruit is round, 3 to 4 pounds with heavy netting. The flesh is thick, sweet, firm and orange. Vigorous plants produce 5 to 7 fruits and are resistant to wilt. This is a great choice for northern areas.
